A house for the

quiet object.

Featured — Volume I

The Origins Collection

Ten pieces. One direction. A study in restraint — bronze, oak, travertine, and raw silk, shaped by hand in the atelier.

Origins is the first volume in a three-part series. Each piece is signed, numbered, and accompanied by a hand-written certificate of provenance.

Atelier Philosophy

Three rules we have not
broken since 1986.

01

The slow line

We draw before we make. A piece begins as a line on tracing paper, and the line stays with the work from the first sketch to the final finish.

02

One hand

Each piece is built, finished, and signed by a single maker. We do not divide the work between the workshop and the office.

03

Numbered, not repeated

We work in editions. When an edition is sold out, the form is closed. No reissue, no second run. The number is the history of the piece.

Inside the atelier

From the first line
to the signature.

We make by hand, in the slow tradition of the European decorative arts. A piece typically passes through four stages over a period of weeks or months, and is finished by the maker whose name is signed on the back.

Drawing
01

Drawing

Every piece begins as a line on tracing paper, drawn at full scale. The line is the brief.

Material
02

Material

Marble, bronze, walnut, silk. Each material is sourced from a single supplier we have known for decades.

Hand
03

Hand

Cast, spun, hammered, brushed — each piece is finished by a single maker whose signature is on the back.

Provenance
04

Provenance

Numbered, signed, dated. A hand-written certificate of authenticity travels with every piece.

Private Consultation

Begin a
conversation.

We accept a small number of commissions each year — for collectors, architects, and interior designers. Every commission begins in the studio, with the room and the light.
