The Story

Aurelia began with a single gesture — a slow curve drawn on a sheet of tracing paper, the kind of line one draws without lifting the hand.

Hélène translated that line into bronze over a period of eleven months. Each vessel is spun by hand, hammered at the base, and left to develop its patina naturally over the course of three weeks in the atelier's open courtyard.

No two are identical. The patina is allowed to follow its own course, guided only by hand and weather.

Process

How it is made.

The bronze is heated to a working temperature of 480°C, then shaped on a custom lathe. After cooling, the base is hammered by hand over a period of three to five days, depending on the alloy.
